Film title - Delusion

The certificate will be a 15. The type of audience we are trying to attract, will be people over the age of 15 who like suspense and psychological thrillers. We would like to include characters of all ages, so that we could have a wider audience. It will be set in england so will most likely attract a British audience. However, because of our chosen distributor, (Columbia is American) we think this would help in making our film appeal to a wider/more global audience.
Opening scene:
Summer is sat in a psychiatrists room talking about how she 'saw him again.' She has a memory of her sat in a park and then is chased by someone. OVER EXPOSED LIGHTING
Title sequence - The words are white then turn red
Next scene - Her boyfriend jumps off a bridge and commits suicide. Summer wakes up screaming, she gets her laptop and looks at a picture of her and her boyfriend. She has a memory of them in a park having fun and being in love. Then she sees a nurse (bloody), she turns to her boyfriend and he is covered in blood... BLACK SCREEN

Delusion

Our chosen distributor is: Columbia
The certificate is a 15 and the type of audience we are trying to attract is people over the age of 15 who like suspense and thrillers. We want to make the characters personable to all ages. So that everyone is able to watch the film not just teenagers. Been set in england it will probably attract an british audience. But due to our chosen distributor been american we think this would help in making our feel appeal to a wider more global audience.
Beginning:
It will start where Summer is in a Psychiatrist's room telling them that "she saw him again" Then it cuts to her being chased by someone in a park (could be nurse or boyfriend). Then scream. Title sequence.
Middle:
Suicide scene. (Medium shot from behind boyfriend on a bridge. Close up of him holding onto rail, blacks out. Traffic sound effects.)
(In her home, night time.) Cuts to Summer at home on her laptop, looking at pictures of her and her boyfriend. We go into the image in her mind. The image becomes her memory, it's a sunny day with her boyfriend, she turns around and sees the nurse and snaps back to reality. Once she's back she goes into her bathroom to get her pills out of the cupboard behind the mirror. She closes her mirror and sees her boyfriend. She drops the pills (close up of pills dropping to floor in slow motion - can hear them drop). Pan across (maybe left or right) to door and stop. She sees the nurse stood in the doorway. Se puts her finger on her lips, says "shhh..." then turns the light off.
End:
It's night time, in her home. The door bell rings, don't see who rings. Summer opens the door, no one is there. She closes the door, turn round and sees the nurse. Panics. She grabs something off the side and goes to attack the nurse. Summer is sedated. Blacks out. Wakes up in mental institute. Cut to eyes opening looking around. Looks across to box with tablets in that say schizophrenia on it.
Yellow filter - to make the flashback seem a bit happier. As a pose to the rest of the film been quite dark and Eire
Canted angle shot - to create distortion and confusion for the audience.

Research into the effects of the film
In our film delusion we would like to use a yellow (warm) filter to give the memory scene in our film a completely different feel to the rest of the film as it is the only time when both Tom and Summer are happy.
In the film Amelie they use filters to give the film a warm feel. This image is of a shop in the film Amelie. With the filter it makes the shop look more intriguing and interesting.

Locations
park road. we are going to be using Elisha's house which is based on park road for the bedroom scenes in the film.
Police Station park- we are going to use this park as it is a bit creepy and its accessible to use. it will be for the part of the film where someone (the nurse) is following summer. Its is also where she sees her dead boyfriend.
In our first lot of filming we used this park, but because the camera was jumpy, and the weather unsuitable we decided to re-film in a LOCH PARK.
Suicide bridge- the suicide bridge in barnsley has earned its name as it is where a lot of people have committed suicide. We want our film to be as realistic as possible so this is where the suicide in our film is going to take place.
Barnsley College Medical Room- we would like to use the medical room in barnsley college as our therapist room. To make our film more realistic.
Cannon Hall- we haven't decided whether we are going to film the memory scene in the film as we would like the mood to show how happy the characters are in this section of the film as it is the only part of the film that has a completely different fell. So we want to make sure that it is perfect.
Locke Park- is the other place that we are considering to use as the location of the memory scene and also the park bench scene.

In our film delusion the nurse is what summer is seeing (hallucinating) and even though summer believes that the nurse is coming for her, she is just really a figure of her imagination. However the nurse is real but she is just trying to do her job of looking after summer.
